EXCHANGING THE POWER.XT ROPE ►VIDEOUpdated a year ago

Your POWER.XT comes with a special Dyneema rope which is extremely low stretch and abrasion resistant. However, due to the high downhaul tension on the clamping wheel even this rope is subject to a certain degree of wear and tear. It won't tear but wears out and becomes thinner.
When the rope starts to slip while downhauling the sail, it is time to exchange it. Hint: when the rope starts to slide you can still finish your session if you press the rope firmly into the clamping wheel using your fingernail during the tensioning process.
As a short term solution in principle, any 4mm rope is suitable as a replacement rope. However, we strongly recommend using the original POWER.XT Dyneema rope, as it's custom-designed to fit with the clamping wheel teeth ensuring maximum grip and durability.
Here you'll find all POWER.XT 2.0 spares

When exchanging the rope, please make sure that the correct feed-through hole is used towards the regular cleat, otherwise the rope will cross over. When threading the rope make sure not to start from the regular cleat but to thread towards it.
- Cross hole (starting close to the ratchet wheel): used for all 0° oriented tack rollers (e.g. Duotone, GA/Gaastra, Goya, Neil Pryde)
- Straight through-hole: used for all 90° twisted tack rollers (e.g. Gun Sails, Loft, Naish)
